ASME Welded Pipe Calibration Standards
Welded Piping Calibration Standards are available for any material type or grade. Typically, the metallurgy of weldments in Stainless Steel, High Chromium/Molybdenum Steel, High Nickel Alloys (Inconel, Monel) and other exotic alloys results in high levels of acoustic impedance. Therefore, often calibration standards with the notches, holes other reflectors induced within the weld are required to ensure accurate calibration and adequate probability of detection of flaws.
ASME Calibration Blocks for Piping are manufactured in accordance with ASME Section V Article 4 T434.3 and Figure T-434.3-1 or the Alternate Calibration Block design specified within Figure T-434.3-2 which includes side drilled holes.
These Welded Piping Calibration Standards are available in any material type or grade and will be welded in accordance with same welding procedure parameters as the production welds which will be examined. We will work closely with your technical staff to ensure compliance to all required design detail to ensure the most effective calibrations are achieved for these higher alloy weldments.
